Hi there, I'm Boh! In 20+ years in fitness, I've worn lots of hats, including:
But, mostly I just love staying active, adventuring as evidenced by the pictures above, and sharing that passion with friends, clients, and teammates.
I've conducted over 10,000 individual training sessions and led over 1,000 group exercise classes.
Lately, I've enjoyed working in several professional roles - as an entrepreneur, in specialized sales, and as Adjunct Faculty for SNHU, teaching "Leading Organizational Change" to MBA students.
But, there's truth to the saying "use or lose it." So, I'm excited to return, part-time, to my fitness roots in personal training!
I've maintained my Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification, and the following professional designations, in additional to my BS in Physical Education with concentration in Exercise Science:
National Strength and Conditioning Association - Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
I've been a CSCS since 2002!
"Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists® (CSCS®) are
professionals who apply scientific knowledge to train athletes for the
primary goal of improving athletic performance. They conduct
sport-specific testing sessions, design and implement safe and effective
strength training and conditioning programs and provide guidance
regarding nutrition and injury prevention. Recognizing that their area
of expertise is separate and distinct, CSCSs consult with and refer
athletes to other professionals when appropriate." NSCA.com
National Strength and Conditioning Association - Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitator
I've been a TSAC-F since 2015!
"Tactical Strength and Conditioning Facilitators® (TSAC-F®)
apply scientific knowledge to physically train military, fire and
rescue, law enforcement, protective services, and other emergency
personnel to improve performance, promote wellness, and decrease injury
risk. They conduct needs analyses and physical testing sessions, design
and implement safe and effective strength training and conditioning
programs, and provide general information regarding nutrition.
Recognizing their area of expertise is separate and distinct, TSAC -
Facilitators consult with and refer those they train to other
professionals when appropriate." NSCA.com
If we've worked together in the past, or if you've followed online, you know I love taking the work done inside the training space and applying it to physical challenges outside.
That's meant different things for each client, including:
Enjoy more active time with your children or grandchildren, enhancing your fitness to keep up with their energy and activities.
Safely return to physical activity after surgery or Physical Therapy. Regain strength and mobility with tailored support.
Train for a 5k, marathon, obstacle course race, or ultra-endurance events. Push your physical and mental boundaries to achieve new milestones.
